We're Lynetta & Per and we live on a 10 acre (4.5ha) parcel of land on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada.

Our land is pretty rugged (and rocky) with an overall altitude difference of about 150 feet. Areas with good growing soil are scarce so we are limited to a garden area around our house and a 32 x 32 foot veggie garden in a very small meadow area. Both gardens are fenced to a height of 7 feet in order to keep our friendly deer from depriving us of the veggies we work so hard to grow. Automatic irrigation takes good care of the garden with water from our 75 foot deep well.
